Our History

In December of 1998, a group of local families decided to establish a place of worship for the Shia Muslim community in the greater Phoenix Metropolitan area. Their foresight and efforts have led to the formation of the Al-Mahdi Benevolent Foundation. Through hard work and dedication, an elaborate organization has been formed that continues to actively work on various issues concerning its community.
